Summer Studios is an all-inclusive art space providing community classes for kids, teens, and adults of all skill levels, since 2005. For the student who has taken several clay classes and feels comfortable making basic forms. Expect troubleshooting sessions and a variety of teacher lead demos.

 

Three two-week sessions for students 14–18 years old, Monday–Friday, 1 p.m.–4 p.m. Each session is focused in one studio, with students spending three hours in one of our art-making studios. Tobaric Atkins-Montana will serve as the mentor for time-based and performing arts students. This immersive studio will not only sharpen your design skills but also empower you as a creator. Through a hands-on approach to drawing, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of urban form through the act of physical creation.

This program provides a rigorous art and design school experience, with students engaging in critiques as they work toward an exhibition at the conclusion of the program. Students have the option to engage in the full college experience by staying in the dorms and eating in our dining halls for the week.

Her practice explores the materiality of objects, disassembling wood and steel, and building with dirt and paint, seeking to make visible the experiences of resistance, grief, joy, and softness.
